Hate crimes are a harsh reality for many people across the UK, affecting many individuals based on their race, religion, gender, disability, or other aspects of their identity. This short film aims to raise awareness of the everyday injustices that often go unnoticed and highlight the steps victims can take to seek support. In August 2024, the UK witnessed a surge of violence and riots fueled by misinformation and hatred, leading to attacks against Muslims, immigrants, and other members of the community. These events left many victims traumatised and living in constant fear, with some questioning their future in the UK. Our short film delves into these incidents, highlighting the profound impact on victims and emphasising the importance of awareness and action against such hate crimes. These events make the message of our short film even more crucial, ensuring that victims know they are not alone, that support is available. By watching and sharing, we can work toward a society where no one has to live in fear simply for being who they are. Change starts with acknowledging the issue at hand — let’s start speaking out!
